Free Participatory Video Workshop
Weds 19th October

All the basics of filmmaking and a complete video in one day!
ReachAbility offered the Oxford Active Citizens and the Women's Interfaith Network (WIN) and participants of the 'Sow & Grow'(WIN) a free place on a video making workshop with our office space neighbours, InsightShare.
During the workshop participants learnt how to use the different pieces of equipment that you need to film: a camera, microphones, headphones and a tripod, before making a short film together with the other members of the group.  They chose the theme, and no previous experience of filmmaking was necessary, just the wish to have fun together!

Please contact Marleen Bovenmars at InsightShare (see the info below) or the ReachAbility Team if you would like to learn any more details.

Sow and Grow Workshop

9.30 - 12.30 Tuesday, 4th October at the Barracks Lane Community Garden, Oxford

This project aimed to bring together diverse women of faith in order for them to learn about each others’ lives and values, to forge ties and build a shared understanding between members of different communities, and to develop practical skills (such as gardening).

Women had the opportunity to learn how to plant crops like garlic and broad beans and how to grow them throughout winter. The workshop also offered learning about gardening in different spaces, from small community gardens to home gardens and allotments, garden 'walk and talk', as well as discussing the next steps of the project.
